Boat Man

A professor went on a research to find what culture is in the island. He ride a boat to reach the island and it will journey for about an hour. The place was bored in silence when the professor ask question to the boat man.

Do you know about Philosophy? The professor asked.
I don’t know more about Philosophy but a little less. The boat man answered.
And the professor said that, Do you know that you miss one fourth of your life and continue to ask more questions.

Do you know about Science? The professor asked again.
I don’t know more about Science but a little less. The boat man answered.
The professor smile and said you miss again another one fourth of your life and continue to ask more questions.

Do you know more about Mathematics? The professor asked again.
I don’t know more about Mathematics but a little less. The boat man answered.

The professor are boastfully high to see himself that he know everything while in the middle of the ocean.

The boat man are now afraid that he already miss three fourth off his life and one more question from the professor will be a whole life to be miss.

The boat seems to be in trouble, it will sink in the middle and they have to swim on the sea shore. The boat man asked the professor. Do you know how to swim? If not, you miss your whole life here.

We don’t know everything in this world and we must keep humble because we never know that the person you are dealing with know something that you didn’t know.

Teach me Kung-Fu

The old mates at age of 60’s are fishing on the river and on the other side a kung-fu student are practicing his lesson although he already master at his level. He is so proud that he is the strongest among all the students.
After the lesson ends, the students are watching old mates fishing while they find something unusual. One of the old mates went to crossover the river to urinate, the see the old man just running over the water to cross the river, and get back after. They saw another one to crossover the river and went back to fishing.
One pupil become boastful then he attempt to try and said that if the old man can do, I can do it too, and the boastful pupil tries to crossover the river. The students were panicking when they notice that their friend is drowning. They ask the old man to save the life of the classmate.

After the old man save him, the students were asking how they can easily crossover the river without drowning, and what kind of kung-fu is that. The old man laugh, There is no kung-fu technique, did you know that ten years ago there was a bridge over there, the bridge is gone but the pole are still there where we use to step to crossover the river. If you ask us first you probably crossover easily and not been drown.

Learning from the experience of others is the shortest way to success. Following the footsteps of successful people is the fastest way to become successful.

The Leverage Principle

Leverage is what we use to gain maximum output from the minimum input. Three forms of physical leverage are used in everyday life: a lever, a pump and a set of pulleys. Each form of leverage reduces the effort needed to obtain greater result. We use lever to lift a heavy load. The longer the lever the easier it becomes.
As human beings, we have two form of leverage: bestowed and acquired. The bestowed are the ones we’re born with. The three form are gifts, talents and abilities. The acquired forms are knowledge, attitudes and skills. They can be learn or taught.
We use our leverage to increase the results possible from our other sources – especially our mediums of exchange. The only use of our mediums of exchange is to enhance the benefits from all our other resources.

    What are our resources?

  • Body – Physical Health
  • Mind – Capture, storage, retrieval and correlation of information in order to solve problems, creativity
  • Relationships – Good relationship will offset any deficiencies in other resources.
  • Possessions
  • Leverage ( Bestowed and acquired )
There are two forms of medium of exchange

  • Bestowed Medium – Time, it’s the only reason that all human beings have in common 24 hours every day. The only benefit of time is to enhance our other resources. It allows us to use and enjoy our bodies, minds, spirits , relationships, possessions, leverage and money. Without time, none of these would have any real meaning.
  • Acquired Medium – Money, like time, its only real benefit is to enhance our other resources and our enjoyment of the benefits they offer.

In the business world, the leverage principle is applied with even more wondrous effect. No one has the time or energy to build successful business on his own. An entrepreneur’s success is tied directly to the amount of leverage he can bring to bear. That’s where customer referral comes in. It is a system specifically crafted to give ordinary access to extraordinary leverage.
Linear Income is where money paid in exchange for time and Residual Income is the kind of income that provides real leverage. Once you have established a residual income stream, it keeps on flowing, even if you decided to take a year off.

The Blind Leading the Blind

Numerous preachers nowadays claim and declare that they have found the truth concerning salvation. They assert, and not without confidence and conviction, to have learned such knowledge and the truth from the Bible and are thus sharing this to their fellowmen. Not only do they use the pulpit but they also have gone multimedia in spreading their message. Their ubiquitous presence is all the more emphasized by their frequent appearance on television and even on the internet. However, it is so noticeable that although these preachers use one and the same Bible basis, they have varied and, at times, even opposing explanations and interpretations on how a person can attain salvation. It is very important for one to know and learn how he will be saved, but equally important is to be certain that the preacher leading him knows and understands the biblical truths concerning this mater. What is the consequence if the preacher leading a person toward what he aspires for as salvation of his soul does not truly understand God’s way to salvation as taught by the Bible? Our Lord Jesus Christ answers in Matthew 15:14

“Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch. “ ( New King James Version)

If the person who does not understand leads someone who also does not understand, It’s a simple case of a blind man leading another blind man. The end of both according to our Lord Jesus Christ, is in the ditch or perdition. The prophet Isaiah explains in what sense these religious leaders and their follower are blind. Isaiah 44:18

“They do not know nor understand; For He has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, And their hearts so that they cannot understand.”

They are blind not in literal sense, but in the sense that their minds and their hearts have been shut so that they cannot see or understand. The Lord Jesus point out what is it that they cannot see or understand because their minds have been shut: Mark 4:11-12

“And He said to them, ’To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, so that ‘Seeing they may see and not perceive, And hearing they may hear and not understand; Lest they should turn, and their sins be forgiven them’.”

It is the mystery of the kingdom of our Lord God revealed in the Holy Scriptures that these preachers and their followers cannot understand. They may be seeing and reading the verses of the Bible but they do not really understand and how their true deeper meaning. And this because, as Apostle Paul explains rather emphatically, “Satan, the god of this evil world, has blinded the mind of those who don’t believe, so they are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News that is shinning upon them. They don’t understand the message we preached about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God”

II Corinthian 4:4 The god of this world, Satan, has blinded their minds so they are unable to understand the message and the mystery of the Kingdom of God and see the glorious light of the Good News.

For One Who Works Hard

One morning I wasted nearly an hour watching a tiny ant carry a huge feather cross my back terrace. Several times it was confronted by obstacles in its path and after a momentary pause it would make the necessary detour.

At one point the ant had to negotiate a crack in the concrete about 10mm wide. After brief contemplation the ant laid the feather over the crack, walked across it and picked up the feather on the other side then continued on its way.

I was fascinated by the ingenuity of this ant, one of God’s smallest creatures. It served to reinforce the miracle of creation. Here was a minute insect, lacking in size yet equipped with a brain to reason, explore, discover and overcome. But this ant, like the two-legged co-residents of this planet, also shares human failings.

After some time the ant finally reached its destination – a flower bed at the end of the terrace and a small hole that was the entrance to its underground home. And it was here that the ant finally met its match. How could that large feather possibly fit down small hole?

Of course it couldn’t. So the ant, after all this trouble and exercising great ingenuity, overcoming problems all along the way, just abandoned the feather and went home.

The ant had not thought the problem through before it began its epic journey and in the end the feather was nothing more than a burden.

Isn’t OUR LIFE like that?

We worry about our family; we worry about money or the lack of it, we worry about work, about where we live, about all sorts of things. These are all burdens – the things we pick up along life’s path and lug them around the obstacles and over the crevasses that life will bring, only to find that at the destination they are useless and we can’t take them with US.
